1. Charging for IoT Devices IoT devices are typically battery-powered, and in some cases, they are designed to be discarded once the battery runs out. This is because the cost of replacing or recharging the batteries is not considered worthwhile. IoT devices are often used in a scattered manner, and if devices containing batteries with chemicals are left unattended, they can have a negative impact on the natural environment. If a WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) system can be developed, this problem can be fundamentally solved. Our laboratory aims to implement a WPT system using drones. While there has been much research on charging drones, there has been little consideration given to utilizing the mobility of drones for wireless power supply. If this can be achieved, it will lead to the realization of a power supply system that eliminates spatial constraints.
1. IoT機器向け充電 IoTデバイスは電池駆動を基本としており、電池が切れたらそのまま捨てることを前提にする場合もあります。 これは、電池交換、充電するための面倒を考えるとコスト的に見合わないためです。 IoTデバイスは「ばら撒いて」使うことを前提としており、化学物質を含んだ電池を含むデバイスがそのまま放置されると自然環境に悪影響を与えることもありえます。 もしWPTシステムが開発できればこの問題は抜本的に解決できます。 当研究室では、ドローンを用いたWPTシステムの実装を目指しています。 ドローンへの充電に関する研究は多く検討されているのですが、ドローンの移動性を無線給電に有効活用しようという研究はほとんど検討されておらず、これができると、空間的制約を排除した給電システムの実現につながります。
