In the center, three enormously overweight bourgeois gentlemen sit around a richly ornamented round marble café table, beneath a magnificent Imperial-style heraldic eagle mounted on the wall. The first gentleman proudly rings a small brass handbell to summon the waiter. The second gentleman grins while holding a full set of dentures balanced on a silver fork, as if presenting an important discovery. The third gentleman scratches his head and looks around with a hopelessly confused expression, searching for the missing owner of the teeth. The marble table is covered with steaming porcelain coffee cups, silver coffee pots, ornate sugar bowls, cream pitchers, bowls overflowing with eggs, pastries, croissants, cakes, cookies, butter, fruit preserves, and elegant dessert dishes. Several decorative coffee tins stand prominently on the table, each bearing beautifully printed vintage labels that read "KAFFEE LATTE." Coffee has spilled across the marble surface and slowly drips over the edge onto the richly patterned carpet. Around the central group, the coffee salon is filled with humorous scenes.
