Huh? Can you download the image? 📥
スI can download images from other people's galleries 📥. Videos are controlled, but it seems I can download others' images. (It's not a screen capture.)

Can you tell me the download procedure? I checked on my end, but I couldn't find that method.
Even if I open an image from the gallery, I cannot download it. I think it's working properly 🕊️🌷
I'm on a PC. When I long-press, this display appears:

Then if I press the part that says "Save image as...", it gets downloaded. There's a friend who uses this site, and they were saving my pictures. So I posted it to the community.
For the gallery list page, the contents of the context menu change depending on where you right-click on the thumbnail image (near the text, above the text, in the upper central part of the image, or on the outer border of the image).
On the user page, the thumbnail group for "Other works by ●●" also includes an image save option in the context menu.
In general, it seems that the right-click menu for images treated as thumbnails includes an option to save the image. Since these are thumbnail images, they differ in size from the original generated image.
There's nothing you can do about those that aren't originals and have degraded display quality. The original resolution is probably only available for download, so I guess it's okay. Well, it's also written in the frequently asked questions.
Are you trying to point out a big-picture discrepancy like "Can't you save the image, huh?"? Personally, I think if the original isn't being taken, there's no need to worry. Whether it's a gap in the protection or an unavoidable web page specification... If it can be fixed, have them fix it; if not, well, you just have to put up with it—small inconsistencies happen everywhere.

From here on, it's about the perspective of the user.
Check the difference between the resolution of the image your friend has and the one displayed on your screen (the resolution you set when generating it), and see how you feel about it as a file.
If they were able to save the original:
→ Your friend's environment is special, and the admin can't do anything about it. Your friend is a step above in many ways—they don't care about rules, etc. They've bypassed the system meant to prevent it, so there's nothing you can do.
If the resolution or file size is smaller than the original:
→ The original is technically protected, and they're just saving a degraded thumbnail...
It comes down to whether you can be generous enough to say, "(You poor thing, stuck with a degraded copy.) Want me to give you the original?" lol
