How do you write prompts to describe hairstyles?

I'm really unfamiliar with hairstyle names, and basically when I write hairstyle prompts, I often combine these 5:

Short hair, semi-long hair, long hair, straight, wavy

😂 (Sometimes I also write "bun hair" or "twin tails" though)

For the record, if I visualize the gap between how society generally perceives hairstyles and my own perception, it looks like this...

By the way, when I input "hair with a bun shaped like a croissant" and generated an image, it produced a girl with a croissant-shaped hair accessory 🤣🥐

(The croissant looks like horns, but it's cute in its own way)

What words do you all use often when writing hairstyle prompts?
