Comparison of photorealistic images generated by the seven free models

Are you reading this and thinking, “No matter the model, AI-generated photorealistic images all look the same”? You do, don’t you?

But hold on—each model actually has distinct features!

It’s no surprise if you didn’t know. On this site, the only prior research comparing the photorealistic image features of each model is about images of mecha 🤖 (see by yamabico)

So this time, I systematically investigated the photorealistic image characteristics of the seven free models available on this site 📷️

The common prompt was:
“Photorealistic, park, trees, autumn leaves, black streetlight, night, bench, starry sky”
and the seed value was also kept the same 🍁🌃

(Note: Since only five images can be attached to a post, some images are combined in pairs.)

① Image V3

The contrast of light and shadow is precise and clear, and the shapes of tree branches, leaves, and the bench are well-formed. It has exceptional realism, just like a photograph! 📷️

② Anim4gine

The streetlight is slightly glitched, but the light rendering has a soft quality, and the depiction of tree leaves is detailed. It feels like a hand-drawn painting! 🖌️

③ Animij & WAI

Animij depicts tree leaves with soft gradation, and the contrast between the sky, dark trees, and autumn leaves is vivid, giving a picture book-like atmosphere! 📔

WAI’s depiction of tree leaves is somewhat rough, but the texture of the road is detailed. The placement of streetlights is also well-balanced, making its compositional stability excellent! ⚖️

④ Neta Yume

The streetlight and bench were glitched, but the shapes of the tree leaves are distinct, and the use of yellow and orange is vibrant. The starry sky is also realistic, making the whole image feel like a scene from an anime! 🎥

⑤ Image V2 & SDXL

Image V2 has very neat shapes for tree leaves and streetlight decorations, with delicate colors creating subtle gradations. Amazing detail precision! 🔍

SDXL has some instability in depicting streetlights and branches, but the light bokeh, the richness of the background, and the depiction of light and shadow on leaves are impressive. The overall feel is a fantastical atmosphere! 🔮

This is just one example, so changing conditions might reveal different characteristics for each model—worth experimenting 👍

Finally, my personal favorites are Image V3 for its photographic atmosphere and Image V2 for its wonderful fine detail. Which one do you prefer?
