Talking about anime
NTalking to each other about anime, characters, I don't know.
Talking to each other about anime, characters, I don't know.
I've watched Naruto (it's a classic), Fairy Tail, Jujutsu Kaisen (I love Gojo so much), Demon Slayer, and right now I'm watching The Apothecary Diaries. I love anime so much, it's my whole life. Plus, there's tons of bread!!! Give me your thoughts.
Since my body is made more of video games than anime, even though I'm Japanese, I haven't even watched Naruto.
But, an anime I’ve watched recently that was really good was "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth," which was completely to my taste. I love that kind of literary feel that feels like a continuation of reality.
Also, I've started liking Jujutsu Kaisen a bit recently! I'm surprised by how expressive the animation is. I like that it doesn't feel bound by conventions.
"Chi: On the Movement of the Earth" was great. I have all the volumes of the manga, too. 😁 I also like "To Your Eternity." It depicts the battle between "Fushi," who can transform into things that influence them, and mysterious life forms called "Knockers." 😂👍🕊️🌷
Oh, very interesting! I would be delighted to continue talking with you.
I recorded the remakes of "Urusei Yatsura" and "Ranma 1/2" on my HDD and burned them to DVD-R to watch.
I'm also looking forward to the new "Please Teacher!" project.
You watch a fair amount of anime, don't you? Some that stay in my memory are "Your Lie in April," "Skip and Loafer," and "Natsume's Book of Friends," I suppose. I'm worried about whether those titles will be understood outside of Japan, since the names change.
It's a long-running series, isn't it? There are a lot of standalone-style stories, which is great because you can enjoy it from anywhere, and personally, I especially love the Shiitake monster story.
I really like Attack on Titan, especially seasons one through three. The animation production is absolutely exquisite; from the storyboard design to the fluidity of the battle scenes, there isn't a single useless second in any episode. At the same time, the character development is very three-dimensional, with each person possessing their own character traits shaped by both nature and their experiences. Furthermore, the direction of the plot makes me think the author is brilliant, as it explores the rules governing human society and the sense of morality. (I find that themes in Japanese anime delve deeper into worldviews and values than Japanese television dramas—I don't know if that's just my imagination.) I also like Parasyte. I think some Japanese manga artists are, in fact, contemporary writers, philosophers, and sociologists, haha. Additionally, I really like a Korean webtoon called Cheese in the Trap; its psychological portrayal is very nuanced.
"Attack on Titan" is god-tier! 😉👍✨ The battle scene between Captain Levi and the Beast Titan in particular gave me goosebumps! It's a masterpiece 😁💕
Yes! And Levi’s choice not to save the Commander in the end was handled with very reasonable motivations. I like this sense of logical consistency; it makes the characters feel all the more three-dimensional! It’s a pity that the art style, storyboarding, and narrative approach from the fourth season on aren't the same as before 😭 but the plot is still full of surprises I never expected.
